HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR POOL COVER?

SEP 29, 2022

Whatever the shape of your pool, whether it is in-ground, semi-in-ground or even above-ground... each pool finds its cover! But what exactly is a pool cover? What is it used for? What are the different existing models? And among all this diversity, how do you choose?

SUMMER COVERS

Floating cover which increases the temperature of the water thanks to its solar action, lengthening the bathing season. Their insulating quality prevents the loss of heat and the water evaporation.

The cover floats on the water without moorings, it remains embedded on the interior of the pool. They are very easy to manage thanks to their light weight. A roller eases their handling and storage.

Especially suitable for heated pools due to their significant energy savings.

WINTER COVERS

Using a winter pool cover is a good way to maintain the pool water when the summer season is over. You will get the best results for the conservation of the pool reducing costs in maintenance, filtration, chemicals, etc...

The pool cover is easily anchored and remains fixed and taut around the perimeter of the pool. It offers total security and at the same time prevents the water from getting dirty from falling impurities, leaves, debris, etc.

A very suitable option for the conservation of the pool in the winter season.

ALL SEASONS BAR COVERS

The bar cover is a safety cover. It works all year round and can replace both the summer cover and the winter cover.

It consists of solid aluminum bars and a thick tarpaulin. The cover is opaque to block the sun’s UV, photosynthesis and algae development in the water. It also protects the pool from outdoor pollution like leaves.

The cover is rolled up easily with a handle crank. You can also combine a motorized roller with your cover for added convenience.

AUTOMATIC POOL COVERS

Automatic covers are easily opened and closed thanks to their in-built motorized roller. The turning of a key is all that is needed to get it working.

Manufactured with rigid slats and available in various colours, the design and composition enable the cover to float over the whole of the water surface.

They are very effective as a thermal insulator and have been developed in compliance with the French standard NF P 90-308, guaranteeing maximum safety for pool users.

Our different solutions, whether with submerged or above-ground covers, can be adapted to different types of pools.

SUMERGED AUTOMATIC COVERS

The submerged models are especially designed for new build pools. Both the roller shaft and the cover are inside the pool structure, ensuring perfect harmony with the pool’s surrounds.

ABOVE GROUND AUTOMATIC COVERS

Above ground covers are another, simpler solution that are easy to install and start up. Ideal for installation in existing pools as the roller shaft is located out of the pool and anchored to the pool edge.

WHICH COVER SHOULD I INSTALL?

First of all, you should study whether you want a cover for a new-build or an existing pool. The different cover models available ensures that there is a solution for each pool. That is why we suggest you contact your nearest closest sales point for more information.
